(¯`•¸·´¯)M¥ ƒïR$T Ðå¥ ïN TH€ U.S.(¯`·¸•´¯)

I arrived on August 11, 2002 at 2:30 pm at the Miami International Airport. As soon I put my feet outside the aiplane I felt different. Then I walked and walked until I saw my Mom so happy waiting for me. When a saw her I felt so happy. Few minutes later we went to the parking lot and I remember that the first store that I entered in this country was Shell to buy a phone card to call my family in Colombia. After that, we went to a friend's apartment to take a rest because later we had to go out again. This time we went to Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and took a flight to Tampa at 8:00 pm. We arrived to Tampa at 8:45 pm. The reason of my flight was to visit my sister. I had not seen her for almost a year. That day was full of emotions. I was so happy of being with my family again, but at the same time I felt son sad because of what I had left behind in my country. After 3 years I remeber August 11, 2002 as the most unforgetable day of my life.

This was one busy day for you both in action and in feelings. Being reunited and separated on the same day is quite a lot to deal with. Are your sister and mother still in the U.S.? If so, do you communicate with them often?
